Known as the city of art and culture, Vienna has been synonymous with music for centuries, and was home to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Johann Strauss. This outstanding heritage continues today with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna Boy’s Choir, for example, being famous the world over.

Vienna is home to a vast array of cultural attractions, including classical and experimental theatre, film and dance festivals, opera and operetta, exhibitions and concerts. Throughout the centuries, the city has produced and nurtured many world-famous artists. Thanks to the collecting passion of art-loving rulers and monarchs Vienna is a treasure house par excellence. The Museum of Fine Arts, for instance, is one of the world’s largest and most distinguished museums, housing priceless works of art. You will find architectural gems on every street, and even some of the city’s underground stations are listed properties on account of their elegant, ornamental Jugendstil design.
Please see www.info.wien.at for further information about Vienna.

The meeting will be held at the Reed Congress Centre – an ideal location for the ECTS meeting, close to the city centre and with easy public transport links.
