SHORT COMMUNICATIONS PRESENTERS

YOUR SHORT ORAL COMMUNICATION
- Venue
- All lectures will be held in the AUDITORIUM of the Palacio de Congresos de Madrid, Paseo
de la Castellana, 99 - 28046 Madrid, Spain.
- Time allocated for your talk
- You will be given 5 minutes, which includes 3 minutes for your talk and
2 minutes for questions.
- Slides
- You may show 3 slides, and we request these are to be presented using Powerpoint. The 3
slides should summarize: 1) main aim(s); 2 ) main result(s); and 3) main conclusion(s). If
possible, please bring your presentation on disk (floppy disk or CD-ROM).
- Slide Preview
- Please report to Slide Preview, at least 1 hour before the start of your session.
Facilities will be available for you to run through your presentation.
YOUR POSTER
Please note that all posters will be displayed throughout the meeting.
- Poster boards will be available from 11:00 hrs on Tuesday 5 June. Posters should be in
place by 10:00 on Wednesday 6 June and must remain in place until 10:30 on Sunday 10 June.
- All posters must be removed by 14:00 on the final day of the meeting.
- Your poster must be attended according to the times shown in the abstract book and as
indicated in your acceptance email/fax.
- Poster preparation
- Each presenter will be allocated one numbered board, the total usable area of which is
90 cm wide x 120 cm high (portrait format).
- The boards are covered in fabric to which the display material must be affixed using
velcro. Velcro will be provided.
- All illustrations, drawings, photographs and text (including photo captions) should be
mounted on smooth lightweight card.
- The organisers will provide the poster board numbers.
- All text must be in English and in a typeface which is legible at a distance of 1.5 m.
- Title and author statement must be legible at a distance of 3 m.
- No power sockets or projection equipment will be provided in the poster display area.
