AWARDS
On the occasion of the Opening Ceremony of the IBMS/ ECTS 2001 meeting, the following IBMS Society Awards will be presented:
2001 IBMS John G. Haddad, Jr. Award
In recognition of outstanding contributions to clinical research in bone and mineral metabolism.2001 IBMS-Elsevier Award
In recognition of a distinguished career as scholar, educator and leader in the bone and mineral field,
and service to IBMS.2001 IBMS D. Harold Copp Award
In recognition of exceptional scientific contributions to bone and mineral research.
BUSINESS MEETINGS
- Business Meetings of the International Bone and Mineral Society and the European Calcified Tissue Society will be held on:

POSTER VIEWING
Poster sessions with authors will take place from 12:30 to 14:00 on Wednesday (June 6), Thursday (June 7), and Saturday (June 9) in the poster areas. For additional information, please refer to the program overview.
SHORT COMMUNICATIONS
In order to accommodate more oral presentations, the IBMS/ECTS 2001 Scientific Program Committee introduces "Short Communications Sessions" with 11 presentations in one-hour time slots. Presenters will focus their presentations on the most important findings. In addition, all short communications will also be presented as posters and displayed in a special area of the scientific exhibition.
INTERNET CAFE
For the convenience for IBMS/ECTS 2001 attendees, an Internet Cafe will be available on site in room Anticcis.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME)
IBMS/ECTS 2001 is approved for 42 CME credits for full attendance. If you wish to claim these points, please be sure to sign the register at the meeting. This CME approval has been given by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and applies to all European delegates who are registered for CME.
