The
Osteogenesis
Imperfecta
program
is
a
well-established
NICHD
program
for
translational
investigation
of
OI.
The
clinical
program
is
managed
by
PI,
clinical
fellow
and
nurse
practitioner
and
conducts
interventional
and
natural
history
trials.
The
clinical
program
coordinates
with
an
active
basic
laboratory
program.
Position
Description
The
clinical
fellow
will
actively
participate
in
management
of
pediatric
population
with
osteogenesis
imperfecta
and
in
the
design
and
execution
of
research
protocols.
Protocols
focusing
on
natural
history,
bishosphonates
and
growth
hormone
are
ongoing.
Protocol
on
metabolism/obesity
is
planned.
The
ideal
candidate
is
a
pediatrician
with
background
in
endocrinology
or
genetics.
This
position
may
be
undertaken
as
a
2nd
fellowship.
Entry
in
US
Genetics
Board-certifying
program
is
also
a
possibility.
Salary
-
$46,000-$60,000
