Tenure-track Position in Craniofacial Science, Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University

In particular, a large group of basic, clinical and interdisciplinary scientists investigating mineralized tissues at McGill makes it an intellectual hub in this field rivaled by few others.

The Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for a tenure-track position in craniofacial science from candidates whose research involves basic and/or applied approaches and has implications for the mineralized tissues of the craniofacial complex. The successful applicant will be expected to be (or will become) a strong teacher and an outstanding researcher with a proven record of achievement for their stage of career. He/she will be expected to take a leadership role in the development of professional and/or research training in the area of craniofacial sciences at the Faculty and affiliated units, including the possibility of working with the Faculty’s Divisions of Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and related University Hospital Departments. He/she will be expected to develop an independent research program, function collaboratively in a scholarly milieu rich in active skeletal and dental researchers and core services, obtain external funding, and contribute to interdisciplinary biomedical/health sciences research and teaching efforts occurring across the University. Candidates must have completed an MD, DMD or PhD. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
