Genetic Aspects of Bone Disease: methods and applications

Wednesday, May 10 2006

Satellite to the 33rd European Symposium on Calcified Tissues
Prague, Czech Republic, May 10-14, 2006

Organisers: Stuart Ralston (Edinburgh, UK) and André Uitterlinden (Rotterdam, Netherlands)

The aim of this ECTS training course is to provide participants who are unfamiliar with the field with an overview of the general approaches that are used for the genetic dissection of bone diseases, and to give practical guidance on topics such as statistical analysis and study design. The workshop will comprise a series of state of the art lectures, given by experts in the field and intermingled with practical sessions when specific issues will be covered in small groups.

Venue

The course will take place at the Prague Congress Centre, 5 kvetna 65, 140 21 Prague 4, Czech Republic (website: www.kcp.cz). The Czech capital of Prague stands upon the river Vltava and is home to a vast array of beautiful buildings and medieval lanes. The city's main attractions include the famous Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, historical Old Town and the amazing Astronomical Clock. Prague also has a reputation for its excellent restaurants and stylish shops.
