  • to promote networking between European PhD students in the bone field

At the end of the course, the PhD student should be able to:

  • understand osteoclast and chondrocyte biology, calcium, phosphate and magnesium homeostasis and transcriptional control of bone cells
  • understand the importance of vitamin D and Wnt signalling for bone health and the biology underlying Paget's disease and cancer induced bone disease
  • understand the advantages and limitations of animal models used for examination of bone and calcium metabolic disorders
  • present and discuss their PhD project
