ECTS Exchange Scholarship Grants are intended
to provide travel and subsistence to enable
members to visit other laboratories to learn
new techniques, or for medical doctors to attend
clinical trials. Visits of up to 3 months are
supported. The recipient is not an employee
of ECTS and ECTS does not accept any liability
for his/her actions, health, safety or research
expenditure. In accepting the above applicant
the receiving laboratory assumes responsibility
for protecting both itself and the applicant
as appropriate and also assumes responsibility
for the provision of the necessary materials
and facilities. ECTS’ contribution is limited
to support for travel and subsistence expenses
and it does not make any contribution to research
costs.
ECTS should be acknowledged in any publications
arising from research conducted as a result
of the applicant’s visit, and it is understood
that the results of such research must be made
freely available in the scientific literature
without hindrance. ECTS retains an interest
in the sharing of patent rights and revenues
resulting from such research.
