Applicants must be a member of
ECTS

Please prepare the following
documents before completing the application
form. After submitting your online
application you will receive an email. Please reply
to this email attaching the required documents.
1. A short (maximum 2 page) curriculum
vitae
2. A list of publications (of the applicant
or the applicants laboratory)
3. A one-page synopsis of current
work
4. A 1,500-words synopsis of the work
you intend to carry out at the receiving laboratory
(written by the applicant).
The synopsis should include:
- Title of the project
- Summary of the project
- Background of the project
- Overall aim of the project
- Main lines of experimental approach
- Benefit for own project
- Benefit for home laboratory
- References
5. Names and addresses of the two referees
who have agreed to support your application (their references
should be sent directly to ECTS before the closing date
for your application). One referee must be your current
supervisor, who must be an ECTS member.
Ask each referee to complete the referee
form
6. Confirmation of acceptance by receiving
laboratory
Ask the receiving laboratory to complete
the receiving laboratory acceptance
form - make sure you have given them your full name
and postal address.
7. An outline of your anticipated travel,
accommodation and subsistence costs.
CONDITIONS OF AWARD
1. The applicant must be a member of the ECTS.
2. The supervisor at the receiving laboratory must
be a member of the ECTS.
3. All successful applicants must submit a report to
ECTS within 3 months of completion of a visit describing
the work carried out, techniques studied and benefits
gained.
4. Any publications resulting from the visit must acknowledge
the ECTS support and a copy must be sent to the
ECTS office.
5. Details of any other grant applications covering
the same visit must be disclosed at the time of making
the application.
6. It is up to the individual to declare any grant
awarded to the relevant tax authorities, and to pay
the appropriate tax thereon.
7. It is up to the individual to arrange appropriate
insurance to cover their visit. The ECTS is not responsible
for the health and safety of any individual while travelling
to or from the receiving laboratory or during their
visit.
8. Grants cannot be awarded retrospectively.

benefits of attending the clinical trial.

form - make sure you have given them your full name
